The End of Solemn Assembly 2011

Solemn Assembly 2011 has come to a close.  This is a tradition in my church and I have been participating for nearly twenty years.  This tradition has brought me through many trials in my life including depression and anxiety regarding "events" in my childhood.  I look forward to the quietness of this time every year but this year's time has not been as prayerful as in year's past.  Satan was definitely at work during my solemn assembly this year as he can be at times when you try to get closer to the Lord.  Unfortunately, I allowed him to steal pieces of my joy.

In order to get my time back, I intend to "go overboard" with the Lord this year (if there is any such thing as going overboard with the Lord).  I will NOT be a secret agent Christian this year.  I am proud of my Christianity and I intend to let everyone know!  He is not embarrassed of me (and He probably should be), and I will not downplay what he has done in my life.

In addition to glorifying God with this blog, I intend to speak my mind about everything this year.  From family and work to traumas and trials.  Get ready!
