Solemn Assembly - Day 1

Okay, it's been almost a year since I've posted.  I had every intention on posting at least every week but life caught up to me.  So what do I post about?  My life is very hectic.  Today was my first day back to work since the Christmas break.  At my church we have a tradition during the first week of the year.  It's called Solemn Assembly.  Everyone tries to give up something that's very important to them for one week in order focus more on the things in heaven than the distractions hear on earth.  Today, I focused on the Genesis 1-3, the creation of the earth and the original sin with my children.  Although we have read these passages many times, it was still a reminder of our sins and the reason God sent his son to die for us.

This year, I will simply try to post about the interesting and not so interesting things that happen in my life.  Some are sad, some are funny and some will make you cry.  But all are worthwhile!
